Astrix
Rolling bass, expansive melodies and patiently built tension give his trance a sweeping character with plenty of detail beneath the peaks.
Dreamstate SoCal
Long Beach, California
Dreamstate SoCal belongs here for its psytrance programming within a larger trance event. That distinction helps you plan: some sets favor progressive or uplifting trance, while the psytrance artists build a more rolling, rhythmically dense experience. Read the stage schedule and choose the sound you came for instead of assuming every performance shares the same style.

Music & Atmosphere
Trance is the shared language, but its branches feel different. Armin van Buuren and Paul van Dyk represent a broad melodic tradition; Astrix and Captain Hook connect the experience with psychedelic and progressive grooves. Follow those distinctions when choosing which stage atmosphere suits your listening.

CAPACITY & SCALE
The reviewed organizer information does not establish a reliable fixed capacity. Check ticket availability directly with the festival.
The event takes place on the Queen Mary waterfront in Long Beach. Follow the organizer’s travel and entry instructions; a general landmark address will not necessarily identify the correct queue. A late-autumn waterfront show calls for an evening layer even when your daytime outfit is light.

Photon Matrix’s rainbow geometry feels precise enough for a trance setting and expressive enough for the psytrance floor. Start with a tee and dark bottoms, or choose matching separates for a more continuous visual effect. Keep the outer layer easy to remove and carry.
